Fractional CTO, agency or a full-time hire: which do we need?
A full-time hire makes sense when technology is your product, or the work fills a whole week. An agency builds what you ask for, but someone still has to decide what to ask for.
A fractional tech lead owns those decisions, for a monthly fee, without a senior salary.
What does a fractional tech lead cost?
It runs as part of the monthly. It starts with your Roadmap (from €3,500), then the build your Roadmap names (from €12,000), then the monthly, from €3,000 a month, which starts when the build kicks off. All three are for a business of 10 to 50 staff and priced in your Roadmap. The monthly has a three-month minimum, then 30 days’ notice.
Will you deal with our suppliers?
Yes. We check their quotes, talk to them in their language and hold them to what they agreed.
We already have an IT person. Does this still help?
Often, yes. They keep the day to day running. We take the bigger decisions and the plan, and work alongside them.
