Merytt Book a first call

What we collect, and why.

This website collects very little. Here is all of it, in plain words: what we keep, why we keep it, for how long, and how to ask us to delete it.

  • We only count your visit with Google Analytics if you say yes.
  • We use no advertising cookies.
  • The booking calendar only loads when you choose to use it. The diagnostic runs in your browser and sends us nothing.
  • We never sell your details or pass them on for marketing.
  • You can ask us to see, correct or delete what we hold about you at any time.

Who we are

This website is run by Merytt Technologies Limited, a company registered in Ireland (no. 815465), at 77 Camden Street Lower, Dublin 2. We decide how the information described here is used, which makes us its controller under the GDPR.

For anything about your data, email contact@merytt.io.

What this website collects

Analytics, only with your consent

When you first visit, a banner asks if we can count your visit. If you say yes, we use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people read and how they found us. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google details such as the pages you viewed, your rough location, and your device and browser type.

If you say no, or do nothing, nothing from Google loads. We use Google’s Consent Mode, which keeps analytics and advertising storage switched off until you say yes. We do not use advertising cookies at all.

Your choice is saved in your own browser, so we do not ask you on every page.

The booking calendar

On the book a call page, the calendar comes from Calendly. Nothing from Calendly loads until you press the button to show it. If you book, Calendly collects your name, email and any answers you give, and shares them with us so we can hold the call. Calendly’s privacy notice covers what Calendly itself does with that.

The diagnostic

The six-question diagnostic works out your result in your own browser. It does not send your answers to us or to anyone else.

Emails you send us

If you email us, we keep your message and your contact details so we can reply and follow up.

Server logs

Like any website, our hosting provider keeps short technical logs, such as IP addresses and browser types, to keep the site running and secure.

Why we use it

  • Analytics runs on your consent. You can take it back at any time.
  • Bookings and emails rely on our legitimate interest in answering you, and on taking the steps you ask for before any contract.
  • Server logs rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure.

How long we keep it

  • Google Analytics data: no longer than 14 months.
  • Enquiries, bookings and emails: while they are still relevant to talking with you, then we delete them.
  • If you become a client: we keep business records for as long as Irish law requires.

Who else handles it

Google (analytics, only with your consent), Calendly (bookings), our email provider and our website host. Some of them process data outside the EU, and their own privacy notices explain how they protect it.

Our founders work from Ireland and South Africa, so a founder may read your email from South Africa.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to:

  • show you what we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete it;
  • stop or limit how we use it, or object to it;
  • give you a copy to take elsewhere.

Email contact@merytt.io and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

Changing your cookie choice

Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page to change your answer. You can also clear this site’s data in your browser settings, and the banner will ask you again.

Changes to this notice

If what we collect changes, we will update this page and the date below.
